When using the fireplace for the first time, we recommend filling the water tank. Because there is air in the pump and pipe when the burner is new, it is somewhat difficult for the pump to pump the ethanol into the fireplace trough. If the tank is full, the pressure of the liquid can push the air out of the pump and pipe, then the pump can work properly. So our advice is to fill up the tank and then try to start the burner again.

If the problem persists, you need to open the fireplace, as follows:

1. Remove all ethanol from the tank and make sure the tank is empty.
2. Loosen the screws securing the top plate and the black box.
3. Remove the top plate from the black box. But when you try to remove the top plate from the black box, be aware that because there are two wires connecting the top plate to the black box, you need to disconnect both wires.
4. The pump system is located on the side of the fireplace. The main problem is that there is air in the pump, so try to push some liquid into the pipe where the pump is connected to the tank before the pump can work properly.
